Step by Step on How to use Onigiri Wrappers
Traditionally, the rice triangles were wrapped directly onto the nori seaweed. Unfortunately, over time, the nori would become moist and the seaweed would lose its crunch.

A plastic packaging was developed and this helped keep the nori seaweed crunchy until it was eaten. This genius invention keeps the rice from coming into contact with the nori until it’s removed, resulting in delectably fresh and crisp nori.

Onigiri wrappers are extremely easy to use and this intelligent wrapping has made onigiris one of the most popular convenient and tasty meals on the go! Here are the simple instructions to make these Japanese rice balls at home! The nori seaweed stays crunchy until you eat them!

Place the nori (seaweed) sheet on a board. Flip the sheet over so the side with instructions is face down.

Gently lift the mould.

Fold the upper edge of the wrapper sheet down and tuck it under the edge of the rice. Do this for both sides.

Place the mold on the top side of the plastic wrap and add rice. Pack the rice tightly.
Put rice into the mould and pack the rice tightly.

Place the onigiri rice in the upper half of the nori sheet.

Fold the back piece to the front and apply the included sticker. Make sure sticker does not stick touch the red pull tape

Fold the bottom half of the sheet over the top half.
